"Always the hero, huh?" she teased him when he returned.
"Well, why should I let 'em throw my scraps away when somebody's goin' hungry right in front o' me?"
"You're a good guy, Brady. I mean it."
"And you've got a little jelly on your cheek. Other cheek. I paid for the food. Don't forget your hat."
As they walked down the street, the sun blaring down on them once again, she returned to the task at hand. "So, any ideas? What's your camera eye hungry for?"
"Ya know what would be adventurous?" Brady said. "Wormin' our way into someone's dinner party tonight."
