#66

A valet driver met them at the entrance to the hotel. "Hi, welcome to the Rosita," he said, opening Emily's door with a smile.

Paul had reserved the largest room. Emily, having never known wealth, could hardly believe what she saw. Rose petals and lit candles adorned the room, and dinner waited, including an expensive champagne, in front of a giant window overlooking the snowy beach. An expensive-looking hot tub was waiting also, on a large balcony off the bedroom.

"I don't know what to say, Paul," said Emily. "This is like something out of a dream."

"I just wanted you to feel special."

"You..." She embraced him and buried her nose in his jacket lapel. "You certainly did that!"
