#67

The hour in the hot tub on the balcony overlooking a snowy beach was one she knew she'd never forget. They talked about shared experiences and mutual friends, and they laughed a lot. Paul had more romance in him than she'd seen before. And she fully anticipated that this was leading to something even greater.

But when they went inside to order coffee and dessert, Paul said, "Hey, I hope you don't mind, but that friend of mine that told me about this place is bringin' his wife over tonight. Cool?"

"Tonight? Paul, it's nine o'clock already." She suddenly felt hurt.

"So, that's not so late. Come on, I've told 'em all about you. They're dyin' to meet you. We'll meet 'em down at the bar and just hang out for a little bit."
